Things to note before you come on the Mel and Pen Run.

There are several things that you should be aware of before you participate on the day

On the navigation bar up above there are the tabs that you may be familiar with. The more people that are involved in some way with the Mel and Pen Run that finishes at "Penny's Carnival" the greater the good that comes from the day.

What is asked is that you share, like, post, retweet these messages to your friends, family, co-workers and acquaintances on a weekly basis. Getting the word out there is a numbers game. Of course with more numbers the more active people become and participation increases. In this case participation may be passive or active. As mentioned sharing or coming on the run. Either are helpful and you are then involved too.

The 2012 Mel and Pen run has 36 points of notice. As you and your team pass these points please send a tweet, Facebook and or a Google + Mention.

For both safety monitoring reasons as well as word of mouth. After all breaking down is not a fun thing to have happen to you. Nor is sending back cars or notifying emergency services because you choose to end the run early.

There are no costs for the participants for the actual run.
The organisers have organised the Mel and Pen Run as both a day of remembrance and closure if appropriate.
The organisers, as well as those that assist, are not held liable for any injuries, mishaps or insurance issues either in the lead up too, on the event or in the aftermath of the Mel and Pen Run. The participation, driving within the road conditions and the laws of the land are your responsibility.

The Mel and Pen Run to Penny's Carnival

On the 12th February 2012 the Mel and Pen Run begins. This run is a family event, inclusive of Car and Bike Clubs and associates, so come and join us in a charity event.

You, as a participant or a bystander donate any funds straight to the local Country Fire Association as well as the Local Wildlife Organisations and "Penny's Carnival".

The schedule for the 2012 Mel and Pen Run has 36 scheduled stops along the way. Which include shops and fuel stops.

Those in the event can meet at the Old Gipps Town at 0730 hrs [7.30 am] for last minute registrations.

Starting from the Old Gipps Town in Moe at 0800hrs [8am]to the Whittlesea Swimming Centre [50 Walnut Street, Whittlesea, Victoria 3757.

Once you have arrived at "Penny's Carnival" an admission fee will occur as to the Carnival is where the "Mel and Pen Run" is heading. Yes it will be a case of BYO food, drinks and car.

While there are no prizes or trophies give the idea is to recognize that although a tragedy has occurred people can and do band together in times of hardship. What will also be acknowledged are the clubs and their participants who have helped and joined together in making this event possible.
